Brownie Batter Banana Bread
Fudgy, rich banana bread that tastes like brownie batter baked into a soft loaf, packed with cocoa and chocolate chips for the perfect chocolate fix.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 40–45 minutes
Total time: ~55 minutes
Yield: 1 loaf (8–10 slices)
Ingredients
Wet:
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
Dry:
1 ½ cups gluten-free flour (or regular flour)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
Mix-ins:
1/3 to 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan (or line with parchment paper).
In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.
Mix in melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and eggs until well combined.
Add flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until just combined (don’t overmix).
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are perfect).
Let cool completely before slicing.
Notes:
Best served slightly warm so the chocolate chips melt into every bite. It’s rich, fudgy, and gives full brownie batter energy in banana bread form.
