Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Soft, moist banana bread made with ripe bananas and packed with chocolate chips in every bite. Simple, cozy, and the perfect go-to recipe when you have extra bananas sitting on the counter.

Yield: 1 loaf (8–10 slices)

Ingredients

Wet:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1/3 cup melted butter (or coconut oil)

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Dry:

  • 1 ½ cups gluten-free flour (or regular flour)

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional but recommended)

Mix-ins:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth.

  3. Mix in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.

  4. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir gently until just combined (don’t overmix).

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Pour batter into loaf pan and top with extra chocolate chips if desired.

  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

  8. Let cool before slicing and serving.
